About Us
The Salvation Army Correctional and Justice Services and Community Alternatives for Youth provides a safe environment and programs for adults and youth who are at risk of or involved in the Justice System. They offer the Community Service Order and Direct Accountability Programs for Adults. Youth Programs include Extrajudicial Measures, Extrajudicial Sanctions, Reintegration, Anger Management, Life skills, Choices, Create Your Skate, Substance Abuse, and Outreach as well as other programs including facilitating the Youth Justice Committee Program for Elgin County. The Salvation Army operates as a faith-based, non-profit organization that serves all people regardless of age, race, ethnicity, personal faith or socio-economic status. As an additional service, they participate as part of the Youth Homelessness Initiative by accepting after hours 211 calls.
