Over 540 businesses and organizations in our communities recognize the value of Chamber programs, products and services and support them through their Membership investment. The Chamber is incorporated under the federal Boards of Trade Act and authorized to serve the City of St. Thomas, the Municipality of Central Elgin and the Township of Southwold.

Providing opportunities for our Members to create awareness, to source and stimulate new business through “Business After 5″ and similar events. Our on-line connections via our Facebook Page & Group and Twitter give Members direct access to information plus opportunities to share their own news, information and promotions. Chamber events and activities let our Members be seen and be heard.
Advertising & Promotion in Green Mail & Green Mail Exclusives
For promotion of business related announcements and events, we welcome Members to consider our weekly Green Mail newsletter, or our stand-alone version, Green Mail Exclusive. Each Green Mail includes up to 3 paid ads. We strongly urge booking well in advance. Weekly distribution reaches 2,200 to 2,500 individuals via email subscriptions and posts on the Chamber website, in our Members-only Facebook Group, on our Facebook Page, and Twitter.
Ads in Green Mail / Green Mail Exclusive may be any size, up to the standard 8 ½” x 11” page and must be provided camera-ready, preferably as a JPG or PNG file. Submission deadline is 12 p.m. Friday for the following Tuesday newsletter at 8:00 a.m.
Green Mail ads are $75 + hst and Green Mail Exclusives are $125 + hst. For bulk or long-term ad placements, contact the Chamber's CEO.
Community Service / Public Service?
The Chamber routinely receives requests for donated ad space in support of special events and activities. In weeks where our limit of 3 paid ads has not been reached, the Chamber will consider ads for eligible not-for-profit and community services or activities at a reduced rate of $35. It is not possible to donate space.
Our weekly Green Mail newsletter is posted on the Chamber's website, both our Facebook page and our private Facebook Group and on Twitter. If you prefer a direct subscription link to receive Green Mail every Tuesday morning, just send us an email with your email address, name and business/organization name.

We provide information and develop marketing programs that encourage individuals, groups or businesses to consider residential and commercial investment in our communities. Maps, brochures, labour/market data, community profiles, and other documents to assist anyone considering moving or investing in our area.
Locally, provincially and nationally, the Chamber is the Voice of Business. Promoting the contributions and importance of the business sector to our economy. Making the views of business known to governments, legislators, the media and the public. Encouraging plans and policies that will enhance the positive growth of business in our communities.
Community Information Services
We maintain the most comprehensive inventory of business and community information in our region. Our on-line business directory profiles all businesses and organizations that are registered Members of the Chamber. We process more than 2,000 inquiries every month through on-line directory searches and calls/visits to our office. In 2018, our on-line Business Directory saw over 567,000 searches of our data on local businesses, services and organizations. The Chamber has a strong presence in social media with over 2,500 people connected to us through Facebook & Twitter. A monthly printed newsmagazine, Business Beat, is carried as a section within This Month In Elgin magazine. We also produce a weekly e-mail newsletter called Green Mail. The Consumer-to-Business Link
We provide referrals and recommended sources for products and services to customers on behalf of our Member businesses. This can be particularly helpful to a new business whose identity has yet to be clearly established in the community.

The opportunity for building connections with associates, clients, and business neighbours is provided by annual events such as our popular, monthly “Business After 5″ events; our annual Members Golf Day, Impact Awards, the State of the Municipalities Luncheon with our area Mayors, and annual events with our Elgin-Middlesex-London Member of Parliament (MP) and our Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP).
