Businesses and organizations that are Chamber Members have access to a growing number of discount and benefit programs. In many cases, Chamber benefits extend to all employees and members of their immediate families. Advertising & Promotion in Green Mail & Green Mail Exclusives
We welcome Members to consider advertising in our weekly Green Mail newsletter, or our stand-alone version, Green Mail Exclusive.
Each Green Mail is limited to a maximum of three paid ads and we strongly urge booking in advance. Weekly distribution reaches 2,200 to 2,500 individuals via email subscriptions and posts on the Chamber website, Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter).
Ads in Green Mail / Green Mail Exclusive may be any size, up to the standard 8 ½” x 11” page and must be provided in JPG or PNG format. Submission deadline is Friday noon for the following Tuesday newsletter.
Green Mail ads are $100 + hst and Green Mail Exclusives are $150 + hst.
Community Service / Public Service?
The Chamber routinely receives requests for donated ad space in support of special events and activities. We will book ads in our Green Mail e-newsletter for eligible not-for-profit and community services or activities at a reduced rate of $50 + hst.
Networking & Community Visibility
The opportunity for building connections with associates, clients, and business neighbours is provided through events such as our popular monthly “Business After 5″, our annual Members' Golf Day, Impact Awards, Lunch with the Mayors, the MP & MPP Luncheon, and more. Our online connections via our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn give Members direct access to information, plus opportunities to share their own news, information and promotions. Chamber events and activities let our Members Be seen and Be Heard.
Economic Development & Advocacy
We provide information and develop marketing programs that encourage individuals, groups or businesses to consider residential and commercial investment in our communities. Maps, brochures, labour/market data, community profiles, and other documents to assist anyone considering moving or investing in our area. Locally, provincially, and nationally, the Chamber is the Voice of Business. We promote the contributions and importance of the business sector to our economy. We make the views of business known to governments, legislators, the media and the public. We encourage plans and policies that will enhance the positive growth of business in our communities.
Community Information Services
We maintain the most comprehensive inventory of business and community information in our region. Our online business directory profiles all businesses and organizations that are registered Members of the Chamber. We process more than 2,000 inquiries every month through online directory searches and calls/visits to our office. The Chamber has a strong presence in social media with over 2,500 people connected to us through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Every month, the Chamber publishes Business Beat, a section within This Month In Elgin magazine. Weekly we distribute our e-newsletter called Green Mail. It enjoys weekly readership that averages 1000 people and is focused to the local business community.
Business Information Services
We provide referrals and recommended sources for products and services to customers on behalf of our Member businesses. This can be particularly helpful to a new business whose identity has yet to be clearly established in the community. Keeping our Members informed and aware of changes affecting the welfare of their business. Everything from government legislation to demographic trends to marketing and new business opportunities.
