    Paul Jenkins is the Chief Executive Officer of the St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce, where he proudly supports a membership of more than 600 businesses, non-profits, and charities across St. Thomas and Elgin County. With a deep commitment to economic growth and community development, Paul works to strengthen the local business environment through advocacy, partnerships, and innovative programming.

    Born and raised in St. Thomas, Paul now resides in nearby Port Stanley. His strong local roots and passion for the region drive his efforts to build a vibrant, connected, and resilient business community. Paul has a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability from the University of Toronto; a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications & Public Relations from Centennial College; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Canadian Studies & American History from McGill University.

    Paul previously served as the Executive Director of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation raising more than $33 million during his seven years.

    Whether through serious advocacy or spirited community events, Paul is dedicated to making a positive impact and helping local organizations thrive.

    Christy Hunking is the Chief Membership Officer at the St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce, where she plays a key role in supporting over 600 local businesses, non-profits, and charities. She leads member engagement efforts, plans and coordinates Chamber events, and ensures members have access to the tools and resources they need to grow and thrive.

    With a strong background in advertising sales and design, Christy brings a creative and strategic perspective to her work. Her experience in marketing and communications helps members boost their visibility and make meaningful connections within the community.

    Known for her friendly approach, attention to detail, and commitment to service, Christy is passionate about fostering a strong, vibrant business community in St. Thomas and the surrounding area. She is proud to support local enterprise and contribute to the region’s ongoing economic development.

    Sue Suess is the owner of Sandpiper Accounting & Bookkeeping, a firm based in St. Thomas, Ontario, offering comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping services. The company collaborates closely with clients to develop strategic financial, sales, and marketing plans, as well as inventory management solutions. Sue is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, a Certified QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor, and a member of the Institute of Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (CPB Canada).

    Beyond her professional commitments, Sue actively contributes to the community. She serves as the Treasurer for the Ontario Field Ornithologists, where she also participates in organizing annual meetings.

    Through her expertise in accounting and active community involvement, Sue demonstrates a strong commitment to both business excellence and local engagement.
