The Great Lakes International Airshow is produced every two years and is a large, successful community function that features the spectacle of vintage warbirds and thunder from the world's most advanced jet aircraft. The last show was held in June 2018. Plans are being made now for the next event in 2020. The Great Lakes International Airshow (GLIAS) is held on the grounds of the St. Thomas Municipal Airport. The airport is located on Highway 3/Talbot Line, just east of the city limits.
