Social Issues are Business Issues 2026 - video link

Yesterday was an incredible day of empathy, action, and community building at our Social Issues are Business Issues.

Featuring Pete Bombaci from GenWell as MC, our room full of guests from all over Ontario - Leamington and Windsor to Belleville and Barrie - heard from a number of guest speakers including Sharan Khela from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Adam Zivo from the National Post, and the Hon. Rob Flack , Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing . There was a lively panel discussion with a few of our fellow Chamber CEOs - Jill Raycroft from Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Paul Markle from Barrie Chamber of Commerce, and Ryan Donally from Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce.

The afternoon session was a collaboration of The St. Thomas Success Story with speakers from the City of St. Thomas, Indwell, St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, The INN, Central Community Health Centre, St Thomas Police Service, Elgin Ontario Health Team, St. Thomas Public Library, YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin and Eastwood Housing.

And everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch (we loved the key lime tiramisu!) by Wildflowers Farm!
