About Us
The Inn St Thomas Elgin seeks to provide safe, temporary shelter to individuals 16 and over while supporting all basic human needs and reducing barriers to obtain housing.
We provide housing to men and women over the age of 16. We have 14 beds for women, 20 beds for men and 6 flex beds that allow us to manage that space for individuals that may need more acute care or at high risk of other items. We have also opened our dining area to house up to another 10 individuals at night. We provide 3 meals a day and nutrition snacks, we provide laundry facilities, showers, and clothing for those in need.
We know that shelters are needed but not the long-term answer. We have Housing Focused Case Managers that work with the guest to assist them in finding longer term housing solutions. Our Program Managers work with community partners to bring resources to The INN such as CMHA for mental health, Thames Valley Addictions Services, Housing Supports, Ontario Works, CCHC and a medical team that are on site weekly. These supports help us provide our guest ways to overcome issues that have contributed to being homeless and to give them hope of a better life.Rep/Contact Info
