About Us

Fresh Start Support Services is a Christian charitable non-profit corporation in St. Thomas and began operation in 1987 when a group of people were confronted with a list of hurting women with nowhere to go. Since then, they have been faithful to their mission and have supported disadvantaged pregnant women and mothers caring for little ones, fostering healing and growth, encouraging and equipping each family to pursue a Fresh Start.

Working with women, they strive to
1) provide a safe and supportive environment for families;
2) provide programming that will aid parents and their children in developing the skills required to end the cycle of hurt and poverty;
3) sever cycles of trauma and foster attachment in the infant-parent relationship, building healthier family units integrated into their own communities;
4) support women during their pregnancy and following birth, through encouragement, system navigation, and practical support; and
5) put Christ’s love into action.
